At PyroH2, we are pioneering the next era of clean energy — built on the promise of low-carbon hydrogen and clean synthetic graphite. Our mission is as simple as it is urgent: to accelerate industrial decarbonization through scalable, efficient, and sustainable hydrogen solutions.

PyroH2’s mission is to dismantle the barriers standing between industry and its clean energy future. Our senior leadership — a team of seasoned industry veterans — has engineered a solution built around what industrial operators actually need: adaptability, ease and flexibility of operation & maintenance, spatial efficiency, and optimized costs across both OpEx and CapEx.
Our journey
Born from groundbreaking research in Professor Brian Rosen’s academic lab, PyroH2 has grown into a venture purpose-built for industrial scale deployment. We are proudly backed by the Israel Innovation Authority and NetZero Tech Ventures — partners who share our conviction that deep-tech innovation can and must drive the world’s transition to clean energy.

Senior executive in the chemical and energy sectors; recently stepped down as ICL VP of Energy & Strategic Projects; Former CEO of Baran Advanced Technologies and CEO of Baran Engineering & Projects that rejoined ICL to take on the development and construction of the large Power Plant in Sdom site and chart the site’s decarbonization roadmap.

An experienced process engineer with over 30 years of leadership experience in technological and operational roles within the chemical and mineral industries. Former Chief Technologist and Director of R&D at ICL Dead Sea, where he led major innovation, development, and industrial process implementation projects on a global scale.
Nick Lanir Brown
CBO
Senior executive with over 20 years of international leadership across DeepTech, ClimateTech, chemicals and renewable energy sectors. Proven track record in marketing, sales and business development, with deep expertise in scaling advanced technologies from concept to commercialization, delivering capital-efficient growth, securing funding and building strategic partnerships.

VP Engineering
An experienced Mechanical engineer, with over 25 years of experience in heavy chemical industry plants in the Negev, Engineering and Management positions. His areas of expertise – development, construction, and supervision of natural gas infrastructures and operating facilities.
Sapir Badnani Halaf
Senior Researcher
An experienced researcher with a dual B.Sc. in Material science and engineering & Chemistry and a M.Sc. in Material science and engineering both acquired at Tel Aviv University, with years of experience in R&D, process engineering and operation of thermal catalysis systems.
Prof. Brian Rosen
Co-Founder & former CSO
Chief Scientist at the Israel Ministry of Energy and Infrasctructures; Former Vice Dean of Engineering at Tel Aviv University, Full Prof. in Dept. of Materials Science and Engineering; Author of over 20 patents and 60 publications; Co-founder of Fonto Power (acquired by SolarEdge); Elected to U.S. National Academy of Inventors (NAI) in 2025.
